As the Beged Kefet Pedagogy Manager, you will provide education leadership for Hebrew language instruction across multiple campuses by overseeing curriculum and supporting teachers to ensure strong student outcomes!

Pay: $45 /hour

About the Beged Kefet School:
Beged Kefet is a growing Hebrew Learning afterschool program for K-12 grades with over 740 students in several locations around the SF Bay Area – Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Foster City, Los Gatos and Walnut Creek.  The school teaches the fundamentals of Modern Hebrew to school age children, including reading, writing, speaking, listening skills and Israeli Culture.    

The Core Duties:
  • Lead the development, review, and continuous improvement of Hebrew curriculum for K-12 students, ensuring alignment with WASC standards and Beged Kefet program goals.
  • Coach teachers and instructional staff to improve consistency, quality of instruction, and student engagement across all sites.
  • Review student progress and instructional trends to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as a pedagogical resource for issues related to classroom dynamics, student engagement, learning differences, and instructional planning.
The Essentials:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Education, Hebrew Language, Linguistics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Hebrew instruction, curriculum development, or educational leadership
  • 5+ years of experience teaching either in a school or a similar educational setting
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff, mentoring teachers, and leading professional development initiatives
  • Ability to gain the cooperation of others and lead team members
  • Strong knowledge of Hebrew as a foreign language pedagogy and teaching methodologies.
  • Ability to gain the cooperation of others and lead team members
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. 
  • Excellent communication in both English and Hebrew and interpersonal skills.  Ability to communicate information clearly (written and oral)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Hebrew (native or near-native level), with excellent oral and written communication skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Israeli culture
  • Availability to work afternoons for classroom observations, with flexibility for occasional nights and weekends when needed
  • Cleared Background Check (Fingerprints, Child Abuse Index Check and Medical/TB exam)
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certified
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community and other employees
  • Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment
