Pay Range: $90,000 /annual

The job: Are you a creative who enjoys building community in meaningful ways for individuals and families by creating Jewish Life connections? Then this job is for you! As the Manager of Jewish Life and Community Engagement, you will be designing, executing, and creating experiences through Jewish Life, holidays, cultural and speaker events, and programming that foster belonging and connection.

The Core Duties:
- Develop and manage Jewish holiday, Shabbat and community engagement programs.
- Design welcoming and inclusive experiences and programs that drive engagement and reflect the diversity of the Jewish community.
- Curate programs that include featured authors, educators, performers and thought leaders whose work encourages learning, dialogue and connection through a Jewish lens.
- Research and book vendors that talent that would align with creating Jewish Life engagement. Manage contracts, program logistics and partner with Marketing to promote event.
- Build authentic relationships with individuals, families and community members that will help drive engagement and program participation.
The Essentials:
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in community engagement, Jewish communal work
- 2+ years of experience of event management
- Proven track record of developing community and Jewish programs from concept through evaluation, including budget and contract management.
- Experience with building and maintaining community relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work collaboratively and maintain long-term relationships with families and volunteers; and with coworkers and other departments in the organization
- Ability to problem solve, take initiative, set priorities, handle multiple projects and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Comfortable approaching families and engaging in conversation
- Demonstrated creative and innovative thinking
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word
- Full time, weekends/evenings as needed for programs & events
- Extremely organized and detailed oriented
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate information clearly (written and oral)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Ability to build and cultivate a strong family community
- Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment
