Pay Range: $23/hr + commission

The Job: Are you great at sales and want to work at a state-of-the-art fitness center? If so, this might be the role for you! The Part-Time Membership Sales Representative is responsible for developing leads and enrolling new members to meet sales goals. This person builds rapport and lasting relationships with prospective and current members to promote retention and referrals. The role requires a proactive approach for engaging with current and prospective members while maintaining the OFJCC’s highest standards of customer service.

The Core Duties: 
  • Welcome prospective and current members, creating a positive, friendly environment
  • Conduct tours of the campus and fitness center, providing campus insights, program events and membership benefits 
  •  Respond to phone and email inquiries, schedule tours, and follow up with prospective members
  • Assist with occasional membership sales campaigns, distributing passes and promotional materials
The Essentials:
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized, with good time management and great follow-up skills
  • A passion for fitness and wellness
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience
  • Experience in the fitness and wellness field is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Ability to communicate information clearly in English, written & oral
  • Proven ability to prioritize a large workload and work within time constraints
  • Genuine interest in listening and helping people achieve their health and wellness goals
  • Ability to problem solve, take initiative, set priorities, handle multiple projects and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment
  • Team player with an emphasis on team development
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent required
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed
  • Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment
